Looking at Verbs, Nouns, and Gerunds
Often a verb has a distinct noun form that is used as a subject or object. However, when a noun implying action is needed, we use the gerund. Study these examples.EXAMPLE 1: The company was successful due to its tight organization.
EXAMPLE 2: Organizing one's priorities is necessary for success in business.
